The Office of International Academic Relations and Media (OIARM) oversees the planning of the University of Garmian's international relations by attending to a wide range of responsibilities, with the aim of promoting the University of Garmian abroad as one of the innovative universities in the region.

OIARM executes the university's policies concerning external affairs and the coordination of international academic exchange. Together with the university President and Vice President for Scientific Affairs, OIARM takes the responsibility of drafting, editing, promoting, coordinating and administering partnership agreements of scientific cooperation between the University of Garmian and external academic institutions. The main goal of this is to transfer the latest knowledge and contribute experiences so as to benefit teaching staff in the faculties and students as well.

The office also takes the responsibility for handling the external affairs of departments throughout the university. OIARM provides assistance for teaching, coordinating scientific research activities, developing/implementing annual work duties plan, and monitoring academic exchange of faculty members and students with foreign academic institutions via providing informational services. One of the missions of the office is to oversee foreign visits to the university; inviting foreign experts to the university as guest speakers, receiving foreign students, participating in student recruitment, organizing visits of scholars and visiting professors to the University, overseeing the living arrangements and studies of the academic visitors as well as providing travel necessities of foreign dignitaries visiting the University of Garmian. Furthermore, OIARM enhances and assists the travel of students for undergraduate and/or postgraduate studies, teaching and administrative staff travelling abroad for official university business or as delegations by handling passport, and providing supportive letters for visa application. Our office also offers useful recommendations to the University of Garmian's professors and administrators for their personal travel requirements. Further responsibilities of OIARM include participation in international events, arranging international meetings, and hosting representatives from partner universities. Last but not least, additional activities are carries out by the OIARM as maintaining correspondence information and relations with foreign partner universities, attending affairs identified by the President of the university, and publishing brochures concerning the activities of the office.

بەرێوەبەرایەتییەكەمان جێبەجێكەری سیاسەت وپرۆگرامەكانی زانكۆیە سەبارەت بەو پرسانەی دەرەوە، هەروەها ڕێكخەری (تەنسیقی) ئاڵوگۆڕی ئەكادیمی نێودەوڵەتییە. بەڕێوەبەرایەتییەكەمان لە گەڵ سەرۆكی زانكۆ و جێگرەكەی بۆ كاروباری زانستی ئەركی گەڵاڵە كردن، خستنەڕوو، بەهێزكردن، رێكخستن و سەرپەرشتی كردنی رێكەوتنەكان دەكات كە تایبەتە بە هاریكاریكردنی زانستی لە نێوان زانكۆی گەرمیان و دەزگا ئەكادیمیەكانی دەرەوە. مەبەستی سەرەكی لەمە ئەوەیە بۆ گواستنەوەی دوایین زانیاریەكان لە هەموو بوارەكاندا، هەروەها بەشداریكردنی شارەزایان لە پێناو سوودگەیاندن بە ستافی وانە بێژان (مامۆستایان) و خوێندكاران لە کۆلێژەكاندا.

ئۆفیسەكەمان بەرپرسیاریەتی گرتۆتە دەست لە چارەسەركردنی بوارەكانی پەیوەست بە دەرەوە لە رێگەی زانكۆی گەرمیانەوە بە بەردەست خستنی یارمەتی بۆ وانە ووتنەوە، تەنسیق كردنی چالاكیەكانی بواری توێژینەوەی زانستی، پەرەپێدان و بەئەنجام گەیاندنی پلانی كار كە بۆ ساڵانە دانراوە، چاودێریكردنی ئاڵوگۆری ئەكادیمی ئەندامانی کۆلێژ و خوێندكاران لە گەڵ دەزگا ئەكادیمیەكانی دەرەوە (زانكۆكان) لە رێگەی بەردەست خستنی خزمەتگوزاری زانیاریەكان و چەند ئەركێكی تر كە بەرێوەبەرایەتییەكەمان بەرجستەی دەكات.

یەكێكی تر لە ئەركەكانمان سەرپەرشتی كردنی میوانی دەرەوەیە بۆ زانكۆمان؛ میوانداریكردنی پسپۆرانی دەرەوە بۆ زانكۆ وەكو وانەبێژی میوان بۆ سازدانی سیمینار، وەرگرتنی خوێندكاری بیانی، بەشداریكردن لە هەوڵی راكێشانی خوێندكاران بۆ زانكۆمان، زەمالە و سەردانیكردنی پرۆفیسۆرەكان بۆ زانكۆ، هەروەها سەرپەرشتی كردن و رێكخستنی شوێنی حەوانەوە و خوێندن بۆ ئەو میوانە ئەكادیمیانە لە گەڵ كارئاسانی بۆ گەشت كردنی ناودارانی دەرەوە بۆ زانكۆمان. زیاتر لەمانە ئوفیسەكەمان پاڵپشت و كارئاسانی سەفەركردنی ژمارەیەكی زۆری خوێندكارانمان دەكات بۆ خوێندنی بەكالۆریۆس یان خوێندنی باڵا (ماستەرو دكتۆرا) بۆ دەرەوەی ووڵات، هەروەها پاڵپشتی سەفەركردنی مامۆستایان و ستافی بەڕێوەبەری زانكۆمان بۆ دەرەوە بۆ كاری فەرمی زانكۆ وەكو شاند ئەمانەش لە رێگەی كارئاسانی پاسپۆرت و پێدانی نامەی پشتگیری بۆ داواكردنی ڤیزا.

ئۆفیسەكەمان زانیاری بە سوود دەبەخشێتە پرۆفیسۆرەكان و ئیدارییەكانی زانكۆ سەبارەت بە پێویستی تایبەت بۆ گەشت كردن. خاڵێكی تر بریتییە لە بەشداریكردن لە بۆنە نێودەوڵەتییەكان (كۆنفرانس، وەرك شۆپ....هتد) و رێكخستنی كۆبوونەوە نێودەوڵەتیەكان، میوانداریكردنی نوێنەری ئەو زانكۆیانەی كە رێكەوتنی لێکتێگەیشتن و هەماهەنگیان هەیە لەگەڵ زانكۆمان. هەروەها پارێزگاریكردن لە بەردەوامی ئاڵوگۆركردنی زانیاری و پەیوەندی لەگەڵ زانكۆ بیانیەكان كە پەیوەندیان هەیە لەگەڵ زانكۆمان و ئامادەبوون لەو پرسانەی كە دیاریكراون لە لایەن سەرۆكایەتی زانكۆوە، هەروەها بڵاوكردنەوەی گۆڤاری تایبەت بە چالاكییەكانی بەڕێوەبەرایەتییەكەمان.
